Parisian chic
The rooms
Infused with Parisian chic, the bedrooms exude refinement and romance, where modern comforts meet traditional French design. The exposed beams and stonework of the 17 th -century building, and wooden parquet flooring are brought to life with a modern eye. Individual touches, such as a carpet or vintage chest of drawers, make each room unique.
A celebration of French taste through the ages, from timeless Jouy prints to the latest designer trends.
History
The city’s oldest neighbourhood, the 5th arrondissement of Paris encompasses most of the Latin Quarter. Settled by the Romans in Antiquity, it is home to ancient baths at the Cluny Museum and the Arenas of Lutetia - both close to the hotel.
The hotel itself is a 17th-century residence on the banks of the Seine, close to Notre Dame cathedral, a short walk from the Île Saint-Louis, the Sainte Chapelle and the Louvre.
It was immortalised in Jean-Luc Godard's breakthrough 1960 movie Breathless, a cult film of the French New Wave that influenced a generation of young filmmakers.
Refurbishment
The hotel has been fully refurbished and reopened its doors in spring 2002.
True to our philosophy, it combines the comfort and services you expect from a 4-star hotel with the look and feel of a Parisian apartment.
Which is why each room is unique.
